Mr. Shunji Yagyu is actively working on the new production approach of monozukuri (literally: "making things"), which is still developing in Japan. Monozukuri deals with clarifying the optimal organizational conditions for making “good products”, and so differs significantly from prevalent Industrial Engineering methodology .
Toyota, with whose help Yagyu Sensei implemented TPS at Isuzu between 1982 and 1997, pioneered an approach which powerfully demonstrated to the whole world that ways exist of organizing human workforce and harnessing human intelligence that go far beyond what is traditionally considered possible. What is more it has shown that such forms of industrial organization can provide high quality products at low prices while delivering optimal value to customers.
In the following years as a Freelance Consultant in Europe, it is Yagyu Sensei´s mission in life to contribute to a new way of looking at the necessary conditions for creating truly valuable work.
Born in 1947, he is determined to use the latter part of his career to disseminate his knowledge by making it available to our training participants through the advanced learning he provides to the Lean Alliance trainers.
